Day Trips from Lima
Day Trips from Lima are by far travelers (and ours) favorite way to visit Paracas! There are 1-day, 2-day, 3-day and even 4-day options which can include trips to the beautiful Paracas, the amazing desert oasis of Huacachina, and flights over the mysterious Nazca Lines. These day trips include the best attractions of each destination like the Ballestas Islands, Paracas National Reserve, and more. This is one of the easiest ways to see the best of Peru with just a short amount of time needed!
The Peru Hop bus service was only started in 2013 and has already earned quite a reputation among travelers, with over 7,000 TripAdvisor reviews and counting. The way it works is simple: choose your starting and ending cities and buy the corresponding pass. Along the way, you can “hop off” at several unique stops, stay as long as you want, then “hop on” the next bus and continue to your next destination.
Several public bus companies run routes between Lima and the beach town of Paracas, including Cruz del Sur, CIVA, and Oltursa. Make sure to do plenty of research before booking tickets on a public bus, as accidents, hijackings and other horror stories are not unheard of on public buses in Peru. Make safety your top priority!
